2 Girls at a Pub is a raw and real broadcast of the conversations we have every week at our favorite local hot spots.
This is when we find ourselves vulnerable to share, to learn, to be forthcoming and unapologetic about living our best life as single, divorced women in our 40s and 50s.
I am a native of a small town in Montana. I have lived in North Carolina for the past 24 years. I have spent most of those years raising my 3 children as a single parent and focusing on my career.
Now I have settled into my career and my children are grown, I have found that I have more time on my hands than I was use to. I decided to learn how to enjoy that time and focus on the things that I like to do. I found that I love DIY projects, CrossFit training, kayaking, day trips to breweries and vineyards. I feel as if my life literally started over and I absolutely love it.
So here I am starting up a podcast and stepping outside my comfort zone. I am up for the challenge and ready to move onto the next step and see where it takes me.
I am a surgeon and mother of 2 boys who finds herself recently separated in rural America. Not where this Latin immigrant who grew up in a big city ever thought she would be. Now that I am here, I cannot think of anywhere better to be even if at times, Hickory and I are like oil and water. This makes for some interesting stories.
